• Regional Historical Museum of Ayacucho: the museum houses a collection of historical artifacts from the region of Ayacucho, including the noteworthy collection of artifacts of the wari culture. During the visit, you will learn about the history of the area from the exhibits of remains of different periods of Andean and coastal history, such as the warpa, nazca, moche, ica, chimu, chancay, chanka and inca.
• Museum Home of Joaquin Lopez Antay (Jr. Cusco 424): the guided visit of the museum will allow you to learn about free-standing altars (retablos), the most prominent of the handicraft traditions of Ayacucho, through the work of one of its major artisans.
• Workshop of the master Silvestre Ataucusi.
• Vilcashuaman: ruins of the former Inca administrative center. A curiosity of the site is the church built on the foundations of the Temple of the Sun and the Moon.
• Forest of Titankayocc: with 250,000 specimen of Puyas raimondi in an area of 1,200 hectares, it is considered the only natural space of its kind worldwide.
• Huanta: a natural area that stands out for its flora and fauna, known as The Emerald of the Andes.
• Cangallo: in addition to enjoying its thermal waters, its waterfalls leave no visitor indifferent. Nature in its pure state.
• Museum of the Sitio de Quinua – Casa de la Capitulacion of Ayacucho: in addition to the obelisk, another site in Quinua which you should not miss is the Museum of Sitio – Casa de la Capitulacion. During the visit, you will enter the room where the Capitulation of Ayacucho was signed on December 9th, 1824, recreating the moment of the signature of the independence of the countries of South America. The exhibits also include many artifacts from the battle, including rifles, bullets, horns, spyglasses, etc., that were found in the pampas of Ayacucho and its vicinity.
